34th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment

The monument to the 34th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment is in Winchester National Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia. (39° 11.035′ N, 78° 9.431′ W; map)

 

The 34th Massachusetts fought at the Third Battle of Winchester under the command of Major Harrison W. Pratt, and at the Battle of Cedar Creek under the command of Captain Andrew Potter. It was assigned to the First Brigade of the First Division of the Eighth Corps, also known as the Army of West Virginia.
